The cabin was spotlessly clean and cozy, and it had all the amenities for a self-catering stay. The highlight of my trip was definitely the hot tub, which was private and nestled among the trees. The lodge also provided facilities for young children, such as a high chair, cot, and toys. I even received a lovely welcome with fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. it was a wonderful break away, and I would definitely consider staying here again if I return to the Lake District.
Although the lodge was immaculate, it was apparent that there had been pets staying before, which triggered some allergies. Additionally, one of the beds in the twin room had an uncomfortable mattress that could benefit from being replaced.

A well-equipped kitchen was ok for us. The hotel was only a short distance to Skelwith Fold. We really enjoyed staying at owls house. ;)))

We got great value for our money at this hotel. The room was fantastic - clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. The location was beautiful, tucked away and peaceful. The staff treated us with kindness and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast selection better was if they offered more vegetarian options.

The lodge was spotlessly clean and incredibly cozy. It had all the amenities we needed for a self-catering stay. We loved that there was room to park two cars outside. The hot tub was the highlight of our trip - so relaxing and private. And the fresh flowers and bottle of wine upon arrival were a lovely touch.
Although we booked knowing pets were allowed, we did struggle with allergies due to previous animals staying at the property. It would have been helpful to know this in advance.
